A family activity, not just a drop-off

"We started with the kids but now it's a family activity." That line from one of our parents describes a lot of families at World Class Tae Kwon Do. Mom or Dad brings a child to a trial class, watches from the sideline for a few weeks, and eventually thinks: I could do that. Before long the whole family has uniforms.

Because every class is grouped by age, each family member trains at the right level. Little Tigers (5–6), Kids (7–12) and Teens & Adults (13 and up) all run on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, so a family can train on the same trip.

How the schedule works for families

  • Saturday mornings are the family favorite: Adults at 9:20, Little Tigers at 10:10 and Kids at 10:45, one after the other.
  • Monday and Wednesday evenings run Little Tigers, then Kids, then Teens & Adults later in the evening.
  • See the full class schedule to plan your week.

Why families love training together

  • A shared language. Kids and parents practice the same forms and can help each other at home, and dinner-table conversation gets a lot more interesting when everyone has a stripe to earn.
  • Built-in role models. Children work harder when they see a parent sweat through a class and get back up after a mistake.
  • One activity, one location, one set of values. Respect, focus, perseverance and self-control get reinforced from every direction.
  • Accountability. It is easier to show up when the rest of the family is going anyway.

Students of every age and background

We have trained thousands of students of all backgrounds and abilities to the rank of Black Belt, including parents who had never done a push-up and grandparents who wanted to keep up with the grandkids. Our instructors teach with a blend of discipline and fun that works for a six year old and a forty-six year old alike, and multiple instructors are on the floor for every class so nobody is lost in the crowd.

Start with one free class each

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer a family discount?

Ask us. Membership options are discussed in person after your trial class so we can put together what makes sense for your family.

Can a parent and child be in the same class?

Classes are grouped by age for safety and to keep instruction at the right level. Parents and children train back-to-back on the same nights rather than in the same class.

What is the youngest age you take?

Five. Our Little Tigers program is built for 5 and 6 year olds.
